Giveaway Winner – BUNNY FINDS EASTER!

Hi Everyone!

There’s no one up for Tuesday Debut today, so instead let’s party!

First, we get to celebrate the randomly selected giveaway winner of Laura Sassi’s beautiful book, BUNNY FINDS EASTER!

And the lucky winner is . . .

Pat Tilton!

I hope your great-granddaughter enjoys it! (I think she will! ๐Ÿ˜Š) Please email me so I can get your book to you!

And what would a celebration party be without cake? I said we might have some, and so we shall!

How about this one?

Chocolate enough?

Let’s find out! ๐Ÿ˜Š

And now, let’s round out our party by having everyone share the book they’re currently reading in the comment section. I’ll start. I’m reading something not at all kidlit – a psychological thriller by Michael Robotham called When You Are Mine. So far, it’s keeping me turning the pages! I also (as always) have a stack of picture books including How To Apologize by David LaRochelle, If You Ever Want To Bring An Alligator To School, Don’t! by Elise Parsley, and Strictly No Elephants by Lisa Mantchev (and let me tell you, that tiny elephant is SO CUTE! ๐Ÿ˜Š)

What are you reading?

For a bonus party favor to take home with you, here is a little writing prompt to get the creativity flowing:

Q: What do you get when you cross a turtle with a porcupine?
A: A slowpoke!

Write a story about a slowpoke ๐Ÿ˜Š

OR

Work on your Valentiny Contest entry – only a couple more days to go! If you haven’t read the guidelines yet, hop on over and check them out HERE. You can write THAT story today! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Enjoy your Tuesday (and help yourself to seconds on cake! ๐Ÿ˜Š)

Thanks for all the great info, Susanna. And congrats to Pat! I just started The Maid by Nita Prose – a fun whodunit. Onto those writing prompts..thanks again!

Enjoy your books, Susanna! I love Elise Parsley and used that book as a comp for one of my stories (still languishing unsold *sigh*). I just finished THE OTHER EINSTEIN by Marie Benedict (book for grownups) and I loved it. SQUISH SQUASH SQUISHED by Rebecca Kraft Rector is a recently enjoyed kidlit book for wordplay.

Your ‘slowpoke’ joke made me laugh after a long, but good day:)
    Congrats to Pat!
Really missing going to the library and sitting with a tower of picture books at my side, thumbing through each one at my leisure. But, in lieu of that, I do have a few books I’m reading:
We All Play, by Julie Flett
Poem in My Pocket, by Chris Tougas
Aaron Slater, Illustrator, by Andrea Beaty

Thanks , Susanna! Your posts always make me smile! Loved the “Slowpoke” joke and the prompt it becomes!
I’m squeezing in time to read Kristin Hannah’s “Four Winds”. It’s Historical Fiction and an excellent read!
While at the Book Store today I broused through some very cute PBs for Valentine Day! Peppa Pig, Good old Clifford and some board books too. I just received Julie Hedlund’s Over Bear! Under Where? So many great puns! I still have quite a pile to go through!
Have a great week everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh my, I just happened to check out your blog for another reason and was shocked to see I had won. Thank you so much. My great granddaughter will adore this book. I will send you my e-mail address.
