Why I Like This Book: Sometimes, a book is just plain fun, and this is one of those books. I mean, not really. It’s not really fun! It’s serious! Spontaneous explosions happen! People KABOOM into balls of sparkles and fireworks! Fluffy is dangerous! In an effort to save people, she tries to make herself less cute. But a bad haircut just makes her cuter. And wearing a bag over her head just makes her ridiculously cute. Even exiling herself to outer space doesn’t cut it. What next? I won’t tell you because you should read the book! But beneath the silliness and hilarity is a story about wanting to protect others, learning to accept yourself, and finding friendship where you least expect it, as well as the suggestion that cuteness is in the eye of the beholder. The art is bright and fun and adorable. Fluffy is SO CUTE! But you already knew that. 😊 Young readers will love Fluffy. How could they not?

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 😊

That has got to be one of the cutest & most fun books I have seen in awhile! I am so glad you featured it Susanna, I can’t wait to go find it. Spontaneous, glittering combustion indeed!
I hope you enjoyed her bad haircut and ugly sweater, Maria 🤣 And her volleyball game and tummy-scratching device 🤣 It’s pretty hard not to love Fluffy!
I just like all the selections you provide your readers since no one can read ALL the PB’s that are out there. A great variety of subjects for young and old alike.
I know what you mean, Bru! Each week I have to struggle to just pick one book. There are so many I want to share! I’m glad you enjoy whatever I pick 😊
So sweet!
It IS sweet, Patricia! And also funny! 😊
How can a book so sweet and so dark at the same time?! This is wild, and the illustrations are hilarious.
I know, isn’t it great Lauri?! Author and illustrator both did a terrific job of making people explode seem very non-violent 😊
Wow! Love that cover. I’d read this PB just because the cover is engaging. Sounds like an adorable story. One my great grand kids would enjoy!
It’s wacky and funny but still with a nice message about caring for others and accepting yourself, Pat. And the illustrations are great!
I’m waiting for this book to spontaneously combust when we open it, LOL. Will have to check it out. Thanks for the rec, Susanna!
Maybe you’ll be safe if you don’t look directly at it, Jilanne 🤣
Well, now I wish Mom had named me Fluffy. Then I would be dangerously cute… But wait – I am ALREADY dangerously cute! #missionaccomplished #eyeofthebeholder
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Personally I think you’re way cuter than Fluffy, Cupcake! But as you well know I am partial to dogs and partial to you in particular ❤️
Well THAT sounds like a seriously Cute Book! Thanks for sharing it – even if we DO have to wait An. Entire. Month. to read it.
Sorry about the wait, Sue! It was originally supposed to be October 12 which wasn’t quite so far off… but I guess it got moved back!
Wild and wacky…and looks like loads of fun! Thank you for sharing it, Susanna.
Wacky is exactly the right word, Vivian! Who knew people exploding could be so fun and nonthreatening?! 😊
So much fun! This picture book is sure to have a lot of followers, young and old!
I agree! I think kids will really like it!
What a fun concept.
It’s very entertaining, Norah 😊
This looks cute. And does this explain the game “Exploding Kittens”? They’re just too darn cute.
That must be it, Stephanie! 🤣
I am so looking forward to reading this book with my little ones. Love the wacky premise and adorable MC.
