Why I Like This Book: It’s hard to even know where to begin! With the language, or with the art?! This story is SO much fun to read aloud, written in rhyme, but also full of internal rhyme, made up words, and a refrain that kids will quickly learn to join in on. But also, the art is SO FANTASTIC! How can you not adore that Buffalo Fluffalo stomping around in all his grumpy huffiness? And when it rains? And he becomes “so very wee”? He’s just a tiny little guy in a puddle! But under all the silliness and laugh-out-loud humor, is the important underlying concept that you do not have to be pretend to be more than you are. Bigger and tougher is not better, and true friends will love you for who you are. Just read the book. Seriously! 😊
