BARBARA KIMMEL: Here are three fun menorah crafts. I still have the handprint menorahs my kids made nearly 30 years ago, soย I had to includeย that one! https://miami.momcollective.com/holidays-in-miami/hanukkah-crafts-3-super-simple-menorah-crafts/

Why I Like This Book: This book is everything a board book should be! It is cute and fun with engaging pictures for youngest readers. The rhyme is spot on and fun to read aloud. The text is brief enough to hold very young readers’ attention while also conveying an entertaining story with bright, energetic words. And every page of the book invites children to get up and move while simultaneously teaching them about Hanukkah. A really enjoyable read! And just as an aside, I have had the opportunity recently to read quite a lot of board books – some sent by publishers for review and some in my grandkids’ collections – and I have been sadly underwhelmed by the majority. This is not to say that there aren’t GREAT board books out there – there are! I just happen to have read a lot lately that were mediocre, so that just serves to make this one shine even more! I have already purchased a copy for my granddaughter ๐Ÿ˜Š

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hannukah begins on December 25 this year, so it is not too early to purchase this book for a gift. It sounds adorable and I am ready to hippity-hop and eat lotsa latkes and jelly donuts. The illustrations are fun. โ™ฅ๏ธ

Ha! This book looks funny and delicious!! And I love how the cat first looks on with what looks like annoyance at being disturbed or with disdain and then later is hip-hopping in the kitchen for latkes, too. If you can get a cat to show enthusiasm, you’ve got a winner! Great pic, Susanna!

A board book with nice lyrical rhymes, a cute kitty who’s engaging with the holiday fun and treats — sounds like a winner! Looking forward to reading it.
